Host a Shelter

A Host facility is a location, often a church, staffed by a group of volunteers coordinated by Lead Volunteers that provides overnight accommodation and meals for WATTS guests for a one-week period 7PM on Saturday through 7AM the following Saturday. Host sites must be able to accommodate 35 cots/guests.

Every lead volunteer receives a comprehensive policy and procedure manual and is required to attend a pre- season training annually.

A Mentor is assigned to all new lead volunteers to assist in pre-shelter planning and activities as well as to help out, as needed, during the host week.

Please contact WATTS Executive Director – if you are interested in exploring the opportunity to host. We also strongly recommend that you visit/volunteer at one of our weekly shelters. Check out the schedule page on this site for locations and dates.
